Friday Los Angeles Police Department recaptured a man convicted of stalking Madonna over a decade ago escaped a mental health facility.
Robert Dewey Hoskins escaped unnoticed from the Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk, Calif. on Feb. 3.
According to CNN, he was undergoing treatment that would help acclimate him to society and was supervised by civllian staff. The report also explained that the mental facility is not secured, therefore making his departure unclear as to whether he escaped or merely walked out by himself.
Hoskins, aged 54, was convicted in 1996 after scaling one of the walls of Madge’s home and before being shot by one of her security guards.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the pop star testified against the deluded man citing reoccurring nightmares since spotting the homeless man near her home. She stated, "he was there to take me away ... that I was supposed to be his wife, that if he couldn't have me, he was going to slice my throat from ear to ear."

Hoskins was sentenced 10 years in prisons and was then transferred to Atascadero State Hospital before being picked up by the law again last July for vandalism.
According to prosecutors in 2000, Hoskins has continued to make threats against Madonna while incarcerated.
The LAPD released a statement describing him as highly psychotic when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies.
A report from TMZ.com warned that Madonna isn’t the only celebrity that has been
targeted by Hoskins. He’s sent multiple death threats to actress Halle Berry, which aided in her decision to relocate to France.
Madonna received news of her stalker’s escape while she was in Indianapolis rehearsing for her Super Bowl halftime performance with LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and Cee-Lo Green. The Queen of Pop plans to release her twelfth studio album, MDNA, March 26.
