Chris Brown Responds to Critics on Twitter

After Chris Brown’s controversial Grammy performance and negative tweets from fellow singers and celebrities such as Miranda Lambert and Jack Osbourne, the rapper took to Twitter to respond to the critics.

Brown performed twice during the Grammys, singing “Turn Up The Music” and “Beautiful People.” Despite winning Best R&B Album, the reaction from fans was mixed.

Following the Grammys on Sunday night, Lambert tweeted Monday, “How dang long did they give Nicki Minaj to do whatever that was? Strange. And Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl.”

Brown responded to this criticism (and that of others) by tweeting, "HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate F--- OFF!"

Shortly after this tweet was posted it was deleted. The rest of Brown’s offensive tweets have since been deleted, leaving 10 tweets on his account Wednesday.

Some fans still haven’t forgiven him after he assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, according to The Huffington Post.

The hashtag “RIP Chris Brown” became a hot trending topic on Twitter Wednesday. But don’t be fooled -- the 22-year-old R&B singer is very much alive.

Some people used it in the context that Brown’s career is dead.

One tweet read, "RIP Chris Brown is absolutely hilarious to me!!! I died for 10 minutes. Maybe he should stop hitting girls and Twitter wouldn't kill him lol.”

In addition to the controversy caused by Brown’s Twitter rant, the police report describing the altercation between him and Rihanna has resurfaced.

The horrific details of the assault are not in Brown’s favor, describing the graphic scenes with sentences like, “he then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand.”

Only time will tell if fans are willing to give Brown another chance.
