Blur has been announced as the headliner a show in London's Hyde Park to celebrate the end of the Olympic Games later this year.
Joining the band will be the New Order, who combines the sounds of new wave and alternative rock, and The Specials, who embody “danceable ska.”
The lineup will take the stage BT London Live event. This occasion will be a huge celebration of sport, music and other entertainment in Hyde Park, Victoria Park and Trafalgar Square this summer as part of the London 2012.
The BT London Live events are all free and open to the public, with the exception of the opening and closing celebrations, in an effort to help around “one million people the opportunity to share in London’s electric atmosphere this summer.” BT London Live Members will have first priority when ordering tickets, but general admission opens February 24.
In an effort to get people closer to the action happening in the Official Olympic Park, BT London Live will hold events, apart from the attention drawing closing and opening ceremonies, throughout the span of the games at Hyde Park, Victoria Park, and Trafalgar Square. At the events will be outdoor screening of the sporting action, “top-flight” entertainment everyday as the 2012 Olympics progress, and fans can “have a go” at free sport participation zones.

An opening ceremony concert will take place on July 27 while Blur and the other bands will perform at the closing ceremony on August 12 at Hyde Park. During the closing ceremonies, giant screens will project highlights of the Official Olympic Park Closing Ceremony.
BBC reports, The number of concerts held in the park are to be cut next year from 13 to nine after complaints from residents and the Westminster Council has also decided to reduce the number of people who can attend the events from 80,000 to 65,000, and in some cases to 50,000.
The changes however, will come into effect in 2013, after the Olympic Celebrations have taken place.
