R&B singer Robin Thicke was arrested in Manhattan on Friday afternoon for possession of marijuana.
Police officers saw Thicke smoking a joint in a black Cadillac Escalade close to Gramercy Park in New York City.

There was another person in the vehicle but only Thicke was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. The officers recovered a small amount of marijuana on him as well.
Sources informed the Daily News that the singer was cooperative with the officers.
The celebrity found himself amongst fans. He took pictures with the officers and even signed autographs.
CBS News reported that Thicke was given a desk appearance ticket and released.
His representative did not comment on the unfortunate circumstance.
It is still unclear where the star was headed but it seems that it was a lower East Side address in NYC.
Thicke’s most recent album, Love After War was released in December. He is married to the "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" actress Paula Patton.
