In celebration of their forthcoming album, Dave Matthews Band—ranked as the biggest selling live band of the past decade--has announced a 41-show North American tour this summer. After a hiatus in 2011, they will kick off this year’s tour May 18 in Texas.
Among the dates is Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, where the band will be headlining for the first time.
Continuing their Labor Day weekend tradition, DMB will begin a West Coast run with three nights (August 31 - September 2) at The Gorge in Washington, where the band has headlined 40 shows since 1997.
Last year was the DMB’s 20th anniversary, and, to celebrate, they played in the Dave Matthews Band Caravan, a four-day musical event that featured artists such as the Flaming Lips, Ray Lamontagne, Gogol Bordello, The Roots and David Gray.
Currently, the band is working on their new album with Steve Lillywhite, producer of the band's first three studio albums, Under The Table And Dreaming, Crash and Before These Crowded Streets.
